Gonaives, Haiti is located in a remote part of northwestern Haiti where there is almost no work available. One of the few opportunities for underserved women to support themselves and their children is by creating small cottage-style businesses with the help of Women of Milot and The Haven Partnership.
This set of "One-of-a-kind" Pot Holders were made by Marguerite P., an apprentice learning to sew under more experienced co-op leaders. Practice work is always a gift and are now for sale. Each is made from scrap fabrics chosen by the ladies.
Each is double lined with cotton batting and insulated lining. Outer layers are made from 100% imported cotton fabric. Machine wash, dry flat.
