The Women of Milot Entrepreneurial Network (W.O.M.E.N.) creates meaningful work for women in Haiti through a line of beautifully crafted goods.  Haitian women are renowned for their creativity many struggle to sell what their mothers and grandmothers before them sold.

In 2010 W.O.M.E.N. hosted it's first training seminar for more than 30 women.  The goal then, and now, is to work together to create updated items that reveal their zest for success and reflect the beauty of the Haitian culture.  Each year W.O.M.E.N. expands its reach to more women, provides increased social services, broadens the scope of its project initiatives, and further develops the solid sales network necessary to continue.

The hardworking and industrious women who attend our training seminars are free to use their new skills to work independently, or to begin as an apprentice at W.O.M.E.N.'s workshop in Cap Haitien.  In time, those who choose to remain part of our network are given the equipment, tools, supplies and materials needed to set up their own at-home cottage industry business that puts them in charge of their own destiny for the first time.

W.O.M.E.N. works equally hard to create relationships with hoteliers, retailers and resorts in Haiti to sell the beautiful crafts made by its women artisans.  Click here for a list of where to find our colorful handiworks when visiting Haiti.
