WOMEN offers a sustainable approach to address Haiti's staggering unemployment by offering a hand-up instead of a hand-out. WOMEN's small business owners are empowered use their creativity, skill set and strong work ethic to realize their full potential.
The Women of Milot Entrepreneurial Network (WOMEN) creates and supports individually owned cottage industry businesses for women in Haiti that allow them to be self-supporting and care for their families. Each year we host training seminars for a variety of project initiatives for more than 100 women. Those who complete training are given all of the equipment, tools, supplies and materials needed to set up their own business and work from home, thus allowing them to be mothers first, and work as time allows. As her business grows she is able to hire others from within her community and expand the fruits of her own success.
For many, this is the first chance at employment, the first time there is enough food to eat, and the first time her children attend school. Many are able to build a proper home and the outlook for the future is brighter than most thought possible. Your purchase directly helps women and children in Haiti live a better life. 100% of all sales revenue are sent back to Haiti to pay our artisans and purchase more materials. 0% is used to pay U.S. salaries or administrative fees.

Through the grassroots efforts of The Women of Milot Entrepreneurial Network, hardworking and industrious women are given a chance at a new life through a broad range of project initiatives. Armed with the training, materials, workspace, inspiration and counseling needed to make their dreams become a reality, these initiatives allow them to build independent and co-operative businesses that allow them to support themselves and their families.
