An old Haitian Proverb says, "When women dish out the food, everyone eats". Women are the backbone of the Haitian economy. Guided by this principal W.O.M.E.N. creates a path to prosperity through a line of beautifully crafted goods.
Our mission is to empower Haitian women artisans with the training, materials and equipment needed to open and operate their own cottage industry businesses. In doing so, they are not only able to support themselves, but also provide for their children and extended families.
I invite you to be part of our ongoing progress as we continue to navigate the triumphs and challenges of working in Haiti. Your support is invaluable. By purchasing the vibrant handiworks created by our talented women artisans, you know only acquire beautiful and practical pieces that reflect the beauty of the Haitian people, but also contribute directly to their empowerment.

Founder and Executive Director
Since 2010, The Women of Milot Entrepreneurial Network (WOMEN) has worked to create and support individually owned and operated cottage industry businesses for women in Haiti. These businesses allow moms in Haiti to be self-supporting and care for their families.
Each year we host training seminars for a variety of project initiatives throughout Haiti. Those who complete training and become proficient in at least one of our projects are given all of the equipment, tools, supplies, materials and support needed to set up their own business to work from home, thus allowing them to be mothers first, and work to build their businesses as time allows. As her business grows she will naturally begin to hire others from within her community to not only expand the fruits of her own success, but to also allow other to succeed.
For many, this is the first chance at employment, the first time there is enough food to eat, and the first time her children can attend school. Many are able to build a proper home, and the outlook for the future is brighter than most ever thought possible.
